| The Off Topic isn't going too well, so I'm just going to start on a neutral ground. Everyone has their own taste in music, don't deny it. So what's yours? Genre speaking of course. |

| I like rock the best. My favorite bands are Linkin Park, Boys Like Girls, Green Day, All-American Rejects, etc. I also like some country music, mainly songs by the Rascal Flats |

| Rock's pretty big though, don't you think?
I mean, there's all the old rock. Then there's like.. alternative rock, pop rock, modern rock etc.
Linkin Park aren't bad. I'm addicted to two songs of theirs, Numb and In the End.
Have you tried The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus?
Country's pretty cool.
Hmm...
Does anyone listen to bands that aren't signed? |

| Well, I like rock and pop music. My favorite bands are Bon Jovi, New Pornographers, Fall Out Boy, and Lifehouse.
Bon Jovi is an awesome band, I love how 'rock' their songs are. Wanted Dead or Alive is my favorite song of theirs.
New Pornographers and Fall Out Boy are the artist of my two favorites song I've heard, Electric Version and Dead on Arrival. Both bands are pop/rock mix. And Lifehouse has the most songs I like so listen too, with First Time, Who We Are, and Bridges being my favorites.
Also, I will listen to any song for the game Rock Band. |

| Not to spoil your parade Luft but most of the bands in your first post are emo. I think Linkin Park is not emo. Mine is all over the place! I love classic rock. Modern rock for me is either too soft or too crazy. Bands like Daughtry are the only modern rock bands I like. I like basically popular music. The only thing I hate is country. I can't stand listening to it and it sucks that I live in a small southern towns with ignorant, inbred, ford f150 owning rednecks. - Quote :

Actually, on Itunes, they are all labled as alternative, including Linkin Par, the only exception is Green Day, which is labled as hard rock I agree with your (moldys) dislike of country, apart from the Rascal Flats, I can't stand most coubtry singers. |

| Right... Let's see. blackfang04: That's some cool stuff. I've yet to try them though. Dead on Arrival isn't bad either. I used to like them. They're not bad, but yeah, they're not that good either. Of course everyone's an individual or whatever, so I respect you for liking them. Alternative is cool I'll admit. Depends what kind of bands moldy. Ah yes, got the CD to Daughtry. Don't you think their voice is like Nickelback? Have you heard of Breaking Benjamin? And I'll explain in my suggestion thread coming up. Hmm...Reggae.. Once again, it depends. =/ DJ's cool I thought All American Rejects were alternative as well? But yeah, judging this thread (thanks for the replies) nobody really likes classical music Or even music without words... |

| I think All Ameriacan Rejects are alternative, at least on Itunes, they are listed as alternative. I actually do listen to some classical music, mainly Bach, though I listen to new stuff more often |

| I am basically addicted to music to start off moldy could tell ya that Anyways i listen to just about anything that branches off from rock. Since i was a kid ive been listenin to classic rock ACDC, Steve Miller Band, The EAgles, THe Beetles, Peter Frampton, Scorpions, KISS, Queen, Led Zeppelin, Cream, Phil Collins, Joan Jett, Heart, Kansas, Boston, CCR, BTO, BCO, i can name for hours literally haha. BUt yeah i listen to ALL Classic rock and metal. Classic Metal bands that i enjoy most are Metallica, Iron Maiden, Megadeth, Van Halen had some stuff that would be considered as metal. As for more modern music i listen to alot of modern bands. Avenged Sevenfold being probably my favorite. I also like Disturbed, Killswitch Engage. Job for a Cowboy, Bullet for my Valentine, White Chapel cant really think of anyone bands in particular.... but yeah i love it from the softest of soft rock to the heaviest of hardcore metal thats for sure. I dont mean to sound ignorant but i do not like emo what so ever. I dont know there is just somethin about it that gets on my nerves so much. I will say that i dont mind listening to a few My Chemical Romance songs though like Headfirst for Halos amd Dead, also Ghost of You |

| I think so too. All you need to do is listen to Hawthorne Heights and see which one is emo. Hmm interesting... My sister threw a fit because she couldn't play it. Yay! I don't really listen to rock before the 21st century. O.o I like them as well I know what you mean. I can tolerate some but yeah, it's hard to classify them as "music" I don't like MCR. =/ |

| Well I'm not a big Chemical Romance fan either, though I do love their one song "Welcom to the Black Parade"
Also, Crepuscular, in England do you guys have your own rock bands that your radio stations play, or do your rado stations play mostly play the same stuff that are American stations play, bands like Linkin Park, All-American Rejects, Boys Like Girls, Fray etc? just wondering...

| Cresp i dont really like em either but i guess the only reason why i can tolerate them for about ten minutes is because of the guitarist....Mikey Way is his name i think anyways hes good i listen to alot of music just for the instruments you know block out the vocalist just listen to the sick drumming and bass lines |

| I don't listen to radio stations so I wouldn't know, sorry. =/ I sometimes listen to it when I can't help it, the radio just being there. Err... can't really find a station dedicated to rock bands. Although there are plenty of music channels on TV around. Whatever's popular. Loads of guitarists are good Ah that's cool. I do the same but with other full orchestral instruments as well. Does anyone have a favourite acoustic version of a song? |

| Alternative rock and indie.
Favorite bands would be flyleaf, paramore(sometimes), deathcab for cutie, mayday parade, the scene asthetic, the format, keepsake summer, shiny toy guns, and imogen heap(although she's not really rock or indie). I think the scene aesthetic is unsigned, and keepsake summer as well. |

| Flyleaf are cool If you like Paramore, you should try VersaEmerge. Hmm... I like unsigned bands. Some of them are wicked. Do you go to Purevolume? out of interest... |
