Subject: Guest Area on the Debate Mon Jun 30, 2008 12:21 pm
Well, recently, we have been having quite a few guests and not enough members. We may have 4 guests and only me on. This is not too great. In order to get all of those lurkers to join us, I thought it would be great to make a guest area where guests may post and we may talk with them and hopefully get them to join our great community. It would probably be in "In The Lounge" category.
We are having around one new user per day but I think we are losing about half of them. Currently, we only have 4 or 5 returning users which is not the best considering the fact we have around 16 users. If you are a user just looking around to see how we are going, please take the time to make a post or two a day, that is all I ask.
What are your guys' opinions on this? Guestbook or not?

Well, I would really liuke to have a guestbook. I have only seen one site with guestbooks, and it was awesome. I say yes.

Well, did that site get those guests to register or did the guests just stay guests and post there?

Freak, you mean like paying $25 a year for our own domain and no host? I could never convince my parents to do that.

I think it'd be nice to have a guestbook, I know a good one that is free. If you want to see what it looks like go to my site (www.icebox1.darkbb.com/index.htm) My site is based on the same forum as this one, so it should work with this site. I actually just got it tonight, so I don't have any posts in it yet... If you guys are interested, I have the code for it, so just PM me, and I'll send it to you. Anyway, it's really nice and the guest can put comments, and you can ask questions on it like how'd you find the site, what about this site appeals to you etc.
